What is a diffuse dark field light and how does it work
The light is a square frame with a central window through which the camera views the object. Light from LEDs inside the frame passes through a diffuser and strikes the inspection area at an angle. With dark field illumination, most light reflected by flat areas does not enter the lens, while edges and raised or recessed details scatter light toward the camera and stand out in the image. The diffuser makes the light softer and more even.
According to OPT's section drawing, the light consists of a housing, PCB, heat sink, LEDs and a diffuser.
