Features of the In-Sight 9000 System
In-Sight 9000 is a high-resolution independent vision system line. With special capabilities in image acquisition and processing, In-Sight 9000 provides high accuracy for detection, positioning, measurement, and inspection tasks even when mounted at a distance from the product with a large field of view. Image scan or region capture options are available based on the requirements of the task for both moving and stationary objects in the In-Sight 9000 line. Additionally, a full suite of vision tools configured through the In-Sight EasyBuilder interface addresses industrial application problems.
Broad View but Does Not Affect Resolution
In-Sight 9000 has a wide viewing area that allows users to inspect large objects while still maintaining superior image resolution. This also enables customers to install the vision system away from the conveyor and maintain a safe distance from hazardous equipment.
One camera solution with multiple applications
In-Sight 9000 eliminates the need to install multiple cameras in applications for large objects or multiple parts. As a solution with a single camera, In-Sight 9000 reduces complexity, calibration requirements, and costs compared to multi-camera systems. The compact device helps reduce the number of devices installed on space-limited production lines. Additionally, with an IP67-rated enclosure that protects the system from liquids and dust without requiring additional protective enclosures.
Completely configurable In-Sight 9000 system without the need for programming
In-Sight 9000 simplifies problems that previously required programming on a PC or control system. The In-Sight EasyBuilder interface guides the operator through a step-by-step setup process, while the enhanced Spreadsheet view mode provides direct access to processing tools. A single application setup environment allows customers to work within the same user interface regardless of any image resolution requirements or complexity of the problem.

In-Sight 9000 is equipped with Cognex’s leading image processing tools, including PatMax RedLine – the gold standard for fast, powerful, and highly accurate 2D pattern matching. The In-Sight 9912 version also features HDR+, high-quality (HDR) resolution to enhance contrast throughout the entire image without reducing capture speed.

In-Sight 9902L Line Scan
The In-Sight 9902L model is designed to inspect large objects, cylindrical items, and continuously moving objects. It captures 2,000 pixels per scan line, providing a 32MP (16,000 lines) image that allows vision tools to perform detailed inspections. Each pixel row is collected at a rate of 67,000 lines per second (scan speed 15us), keeping up with the fastest production lines. The 9902L only requires a small viewing area of the part to be inspected, making it an ideal choice when the camera’s field of view or installation space is limited.
In-Sight 9912 Area Scan
There are 2 choices, colored image and monochrome, the In-Sight 9912 inspection system is ideal for inspecting large stationary parts. The resolution of the images is 12MP (4096 x 3000 pixels), 9912 captures detailed images for measurement and inspection with high accuracy without reducing the field of view.
