Ultra-compact design line, featuring an industry-leading independent vision system with top-quality image processing tools, all packaged in a traditional GigE Vision camera form factor. With dimensions of only 35mm x 32mm x 76mm, all In-Sight 8000 series models include Ethernet-powered (POE) functionality and are an excellent choice for space-constrained applications requiring just one independent operating camera.
As an independent machine vision system and the smallest in the world, the In-Sight 8000 series provides a range of monochrome and color images with resolutions from 0.3MP to 5MP. Supporting Gigabit Ethernet for high-speed communication, these vision systems offer very fast acquisition capabilities and two interface levels to meet different machine vision challenges.

In-Sight 8000 packages the entire machine vision system into a traditional industrial camera. All In-Sight 8000 models can be mounted at angles up to 45 degrees. This system is ideal for installation in narrow spaces on robotic arms or hard-to-reach positions anywhere on the production line.

In typical applications, PatMax RedLine runs up to 4 to 7 times faster than PatMax – or even faster! – without sacrificing accuracy and quality compared to PatMax. Alongside PatMax RedLine, the In-Sight 8000 series can reduce processing time and increase productivity without affecting the accuracy of the inspection process.

Most models come equipped with a fully loaded library of proven Cognex vision tools through the In-Sight Explorer software. These include Pattern Matching for product detection (PatMax Redline, PatMax, and PatFind), image editing tools (Grayscale and Color), color-specific tools (Color ID, True Color Extraction, Color Histogram), defect inspection tools (Surface Flaw, Flex Flaw, Inspect Edge), and identification tools (PowerGrid, Hotbars, OCR).
