Job Description — Automation Sale Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical solution consulting: Understand customer needs, analyze technical requirements, and propose suitable automation solutions using Delta Electronics products (VFDs, PLCs, servos, HMIs).
  • Business development: Proactively identify, approach, and develop new customer segments across the electronics, packaging, textile and garment, food processing, precision engineering, and logistics (AGV/AMR) industries.
  • Key account management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with major enterprise clients, ensuring satisfaction and creating ongoing sales opportunities.
  • Quotation and proposal preparation: Prepare detailed quotations and technical-commercial proposals, conduct product presentations and demos directly at customer sites.
  • Pre-sales technical support: Coordinate with the engineering team to address inquiries, assist with initial installation, and ensure products meet customer requirements.
  • Market monitoring: Stay updated on automation industry trends, analyze competitors, and provide regular market reports to management.
  • Meeting sales targets: Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales KPIs set by the company.

Target Customer Segments

You will have direct access to and work with major clients across key industrial sectors:

  • Electronics industry: Factories manufacturing electronic components, semiconductors, and PCB assembly with high demand for inspection systems and high-speed pick-and-place equipment.
  • Packaging industry: Companies producing packaging that require automated packing, precision cutting, and labeling solutions using servos and VFDs.
  • Textile, garment, and food processing industries: Large-scale factories requiring continuous, stable production line control systems.
  • Precision engineering industry: Machining companies needing CNC control solutions, industrial robots, and precision measurement systems.
  • Logistics and warehousing: Logistics centers requiring AGV/AMR solutions, automated sorting and conveying systems (intralogistics).

Candidate Requirements

Education

  • College degree or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical — Electronics Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Automatic Control, or related fields.
  • Preference given to graduates from leading technical universities or equivalent institutions.

Experience

  • 1 to 2 years of experience as a Sale Engineer, business engineer, or application engineer in the industrial automation field.
  • Preference given to candidates with prior experience working with Delta Electronics products or equivalent automation brands (Siemens, ABB, Mitsubishi, Schneider).
  • Experience in approaching and managing large enterprise clients (B2B) is a significant advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Solid understanding of automation products: Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), PLC, AC Servo, HMI.
  • Ability to read and interpret industrial electrical diagrams and understand the operating principles of automatic control systems.
  • Proficiency in industrial communication protocols: Modbus RTU/TCP, EtherCAT, CANopen, PROFIBUS.
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD (reading technical drawings) and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for preparing quotations and proposals.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming software (WPLSoft, ISPSoft) or Delta VFD configuration software is a plus.

Sales and Communication Skills

  • Strong consulting and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Negotiation and deal-closing skills, with the ability to handle objections and deliver win-win solutions.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills when working with multiple clients simultaneously.
  • English proficiency at a level sufficient to read and understand technical documentation (datasheets, manuals) is mandatory. Fluent English communication is an advantage.
